This is what’s on the nightstand, on the table by the recliner, piled up on the floor in the living room, piled up in my crap craft room stored neatly in my bookcases in home office/library room or in my hands right now. Now that Devoted Spouse has put together a couple more bookcases for me I no longer have books in every room of the house; there are still a few scattered in the family room and the living room but they are slowly making their way to their new home in my crap craft home office/library room. If you see a book that mysteriously disappears from this list and doesn’t show up on my Books I’ve Read in 2009, that means I gave up on it for whatever reason — it may reappear later. Alas, I’m a fickle reader. I also pick up and read more than one book at a time – depends on my mood – I can have 4 or 5 going in the same week. Sometimes I stick with one book all the way through.
Red Print means Nonfiction; Blue Print means fiction.

It seems we have a lot in common, aside from the arthritis, as I have not only a stack of books by my bed but a basket under the nightstand. Right now I am reading the following:
Crazy Love by Francis Chan
God Came Near by Max Lucado
Me Talk Pretty One Day by David Sedaris
The Shack by William P. Young (second time around)
Quite a collection right now. Keeps me from watching the boob tube all day.
I have books everywhere – on top of tables, under tables, beside tables – I find nothing more pleasing and relaxing than a comfy chair, a cup of coffee, puppy girl at my feet, and a good book in my lap!

James DG Dunn is a great thinker and scholar! He wrote for the Word Biblical Commentary set.
I’ve started it; I’ve always been fascinated by Paul – and so far it’s very well done. I just have about 2,000 other pages of text I SHOULD be reading for my class but I’m having a hard time putting this one down. It’s funny how this is evolving – I used to read solely crap – now I can’t get my hands on enough theological material and that’s what’s I’m enjoying reading the most these days. *oh NO – I’m turning into you – I’m reading this stuff for fun! Help me if I start growing a beard!!! (just kidding w/ya)*
Addendum: Finished it – reading it again for the fun of it as I am so fond of Paul – but not putting it on list.
